Back to Basics

I started this blog four years ago with one goal in mind – to get to a healthy weight.  In that time, my life has changed a lot, and my blog’s focus has gone all over the place.

First, I went a little overboard with marketing products in exchange for free stuff.  Then my two children were both diagnosed with autism, and my blogging became much less consistent.  Eventually, like a lot of people who spend too much time online, I became obsessed with politics – conservative in my case.  But, now that it looks like my political party is going to nominate a game show host for president, I’ve become disillusioned once again – probably for the best.

So, I’m going back to the drawing board.  Let’s lose some weight!

I know what works – I always lose weight when eating a Whole 30 diet and working out – so that’s what I’m going to go back to.  I’ve lost 60 pounds since starting this blog four years ago – and I have a lot more to go.  But here’s where I’ve been:

Jan 2012: 266 (Troy was born!)

July 2013: 216

April 2014: 260 (Violet was born!)

February 2016: 206

As you can see, it’s been a circuitous journey, but I’m heading in the right direction.  So, it’s time to start going full boar!

First goal: 200 (I’ll have lost all my baby weight!)

Second goal: 185 (I’ll fit in my wedding dress!)

Third goal: 160 (this might be my final goal – it’ll depend on my waist measurement, which should be less than half your height – 30.5 inches in my case)
