Highlights from New Years Eve at Knotts Berry Farm!
On New Years Eve, Chris and I took Troy to ring in the new year at Knotts Berry Farm!
We started in the festively-decorated Camp Snoopy, where the Peanuts characters entertained us by singing and dancing, and had a “practice” countdown to New Years Eve for the kids – very helpful for parents who needed to leave before midnight to tuck in little ones.
Chris wanted to win Troy a toy from a carnival game, because he won one for me on one of our first dates. He won Troy a very cute Angry Bird, proving that he’s still got it!
The highlights of the evening for us were the dance party with DJ Resso and the concert by Kenny Metcalf as Elton John. I’ve seen Elton in concert, and Kenny was pitch-perfect as his doppelganger!
Like most parents, we run on our son’s timetable, so we inevitably left the park before midnight. But, we couldn’t leave without partaking in Knott’s famous boysenberry pie. :)

Truth be told, I had one bite of the pie – my hubby ate the rest. But my bite was delicious!!
