Sunday #51 – Our Trip to Knotts Merry Farm!!!

Last weekend, my sister and I took our kids to Knotts Merry Farm!!  We had a fabulous time – packing in two wonderful Christmas shows, cookie decorating, a tour through Snoopy’s Magical Nights of Lights, and the Calico Christmas Tree Lighting, as well as several rides!

We began in the Ghost Town, where we watched the Christmas play “A Gift of the Magi” in the historic Bird Cage Theater!  We all enjoyed the play, which highlighted the joy of giving during the holidays, and it put us all in the Christmas spirit!

We then stopped off at the Wilderness Dance Hall, where the kids had fun decorating Christmas cookies!

Of course, you can’t visit Knotts without going on some rides!  We spent some time enjoying ourselves in Camp Snoopy, and the kids got to ride some of their favorites, including the Balloon Race, Lucy’s Tugboat, and the flying planes of the Red Baron!

Afterward, we headed to the Charles M. Schultz Theater to catch the ice show, “It’s Christmas, Snoopy!”  The sets and the costumes were gorgeous, and the skaters were incredibly talented!  Troy really got into the show, waving his arms at the stage with a huge smile on his face!

After the show, we headed back to Camp Snoopy to check out Snoopy’s Magical Nights of Lights!  The entire park was festively decorated with hundreds of thousands of twinkling lights, and we enjoyed strolling  through Camp Snoopy and taking them all in!

We had so much fun, we almost missed the Calico Christmas Tree Lighting!  Luckily, my nephew Cristian is really into maps right now, so he took the park map and got us there just in time to see Charlie Brown and his friends light up the night sky with a 45′ Christmas tree!

We had an amazing time!!  I highly recommend taking your family to Knotts Merry Farm this season!!!  Hopefully, we can make this an annual event for our family!!

Disclosure: I was given free tickets to Knotts Merry Farm in exchange for my review of the park.  All opinions expressed are completely my own, and I am not influenced by any compensation I receive.  Honesty is my highest aim.
