Friday Letters – Overwhelmed Edition
Dear College,
After taking a year off, you are a lot tougher than I remember. A lot of my brain power must be used taking care of my son, because when I tried reading the journal articles assigned for class this week, I felt like my brain was on ice. Hope I can pull this off.
Dear Me,
Yes, college is hard, especially as a new mom. And I don’t want to beat you up, but was that pizza you ordered last night really necessary? If you order take-out every night you have a bunch of homework to do, you will spend more money than you can afford and eat way too many calories to reach your goal of getting healthy. That, and home-cooked meals really do taste better. P.S.: You’re worth it!

I love that you are babbling now! When you say “tuh, tuh” and “da, da” and “ga, ga,” and “wa, wa,” it makes me very excited and proud! 
Props to you! I got my Bachelors and have contemplated getting my Masters but feel like it would be SO hard with my little one! Good luck!
