Saturday #25 – Lake Gregory!
| Having fun at Lake Gregory!!! |
Last weekend, my family had a mini-reunion at Lake Gregory Regional Park! My parents, my sisters and I are all scattered around Southern California, so once a year we like to meet up somewhere fun and spend some time together!
We rented a big cabin and cooked instead of eating out – both of which saved everyone money. Each family was in charge of making two meals, and for our contribution, we made a steak salad and a fruit salad for lunch on Sunday, and bacon, sausage, and pancakes for breakfast on Monday!
On Saturday, we enjoyed swimming in the lake, and the kids loved the zero-depth water play park! Later, while my parents watched Troy, Chris and I rented an aqua cycle and paddled on the water for awhile, which was both relaxing and a nice workout!
On Sunday evening, we took my niece and nephew to the park and played some kickball, and Chris and I got a preview of what life will be like when Troy is a toddler. I’ll just say that it’s a good thing we’re getting in shape!!
We had a terrific weekend, and Troy had a blast spending time with his cousins! My niece was especially fascinated with him, and wanted to play with him as much as she could!
| Getting them to sit still for this photo wasn’t easy!! |
The one thing we absolutely needed to make our vacation a success was an infant travel crib. Troy needed a comfortable and safe bed if my husband and I wanted to get a good night’s sleep. We ended up choosing the Graco Travel Lite Crib, and we couldn’t have been happier with it!
What places are you planning on visiting this summer?

It was a wonderful weekend esp for Gramma and Grandpa
Hello! What a gorgeous family you are! I love family reunions and I hope that I will be able to attend a few of ours this summer. I live in California as well and i have a reunion in Washington state as well as Virginia Beach! My husband and I just got home from a 2 week vacation from North Carolina to visit his friends and family and it was definitely nice to see them. I wish you much luck and success with your weight loss journey. My sister and I are both on the same road as well! I am stopping in from SITS as your newest follower with hopes that you will follow me as well! Have a safe and Happy 4th!
Thank you Ashley! Heading over to check your blog out!
Your family reunions are so much better than my family reunions…
Hehe
By the way, I love your blog!
I look like I’m being attacked by Troy
Hee hee!!
It sounds like you had a great time. Yeah, toddlerhood is a running experience, for sure.
Thanks for sharing. Stopping by from SITS.
Thanks for stopping by, Miss Robin!

It looks like your family reunion at Lake Gregory was a blast! We recently moved to CA (Monterey) from Virginia, and we’re having so much fun exploring. Stopping by from SITS. Have a great weekend!

Nothing I love better than chill time at the lake – my family and I try to make it at least once a month
Cool! The lake is so much fun, and relaxing!!
This sounds like a very fun weekend and a great idea for family reunions. As for us we are planing on visiting Baja Mexico and taking day trips in the Bay Area.
Ooo, I love Baja!! My husband and I spent our honeymoon in Cabo!!
Have fun!
Hey! This is in my neck of the woods. Go, Inland Empire! Sounds like you had a great time. Thanks for sharing.
I plan on visiting Palm Springs and Big Bear this Summer!
Awesome! Have fun – Palm Springs is a blast!
I’m in SoCal too, as is the rest of my immediate family. And we always run out of places to congregate. Thanks for the idea, we’ll definitely put Lake Gregory on our list, sounds like it would be fun for my little niece and nephew.
No problem Megan! Thanks for checking out the site!
Where is Lake Gregory? =)
It’s in the San Bernardino Mountains – well worth the drive!!
